Cabinetry Hardware Drilling Jig From Trend | CAB/JIG/A

Designed for repeatably drilling holes for handles and other hardware on cabinets, especially cupboard and drawer pull handles, this jig from Trend is easy to use and includes the option for both metric and imperial measurements depending on your preference. As you can see from the video, you start by using the drawer pull/cupboard handle to set the distance between the two screws, though you can use this with cupboard knobs too. Then you use the graduations marked on the jig to set the edge stop to half the drawer width, and the top stop to half the drawer height, or whatever offset you want. To protect the cabinetry during this process there are rubber strips around the perimeter of the jig. The drilling guides are made from tool steel to allow a longer jig lifetime. When working with large cupboard doors, you can remove the smaller stops to give you the freedom to place the jig where you want along the height of the cupboard door. Once the jig is set up for drilling, it can be quickly reversed, making door pairs a breeze.
