Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

To be eligible for a return or exchange:

  • Item must be unused, in original packaging with all tags and accessories
  • Proof of purchase (order number) is required
  • Return must be initiated within 15 days of delivery
Non-Returnable Items: For safety and hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
  • All cutting tools (including 115mm and 125mm Diamond Blades, 115mm Cutting Discs, 130mm Circular Saw Blades)
  • Consumables (10mm and 12mm Staples)
  • Opened measuring tools (10m Measuring Tapes)

Return Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Return

Email our customer service team at [email protected] with the following information:

Subject: Return Request – Order #[Your Order Number] Dear The Build Edge Team, I would like to return/exchange the following item(s) from my order #[Your Order Number]: – Product Name: [e.g. 1/2″ Drive Metric Sockets] – Quantity: [Number] – Reason for Return: [Please specify] Please advise on the return procedure. Step 2: Wait for Authorization

Our Salisbury-based team will respond within 2 business days with:

  • Return authorization number
  • Return shipping address
  • Special instructions if applicable

Step 3: Pack and Ship

Securely package your return using the original packaging if possible. Include:

  • The return authorization number clearly visible
  • A copy of your order confirmation

Step 4: Refund or Exchange Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Refunds: Will be processed within 5 business days to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Exchanges: Will be shipped within 3 business days of receipt

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or defective product). We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we cannot be responsible for lost return shipments.

For international returns (outside UK), please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges. Any customs fees incurred will be deducted from your refund.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective tool (such as a 1/2″ Ratchet or 1/4″ Drive Socket Set):

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage
  2. We’ll arrange a free return label if needed
  3. Choose between replacement (subject to availability) or full refund
