This compact bandsaw from Metabo is ideal for home users and workshops alike as a machine for carrying out precision work on smaller objects. The machine measures just 53 x 47 x 84 cm, and weighs in at 32.5 kg. The passage width is 245mm, and the maximum cutting height is 103mm. The saw is supplied with a universal saw blade to get you started, but you can use any 1712mm long blade between 6-12mm wide up to 0.5mm thick. To allow more advanced cuts, the saw is supplied with a mitre fence, and the table can pivot up to a maximum angle of 45 degrees – this can be especially useful when creating blanks for turning on a lathe for example.
