The fan runs from a single 18v or FlexVolt XR battery and is capable of running for a full 4 hours on a 5.0 Amp-hour battery even at the maximum speed setting. To control the fan speed there is a dial located on the front. The fan pivots up and down to allow perfect positioning, and also includes hanging hooks so you can use it without needing a surface nearby. If you have a tripod handy, this is also capable of screwing to those for a convenient mobile fan platform.
